Power of Media

There are lots of merits and demerits of watching television for children. I have heard so many objections against TV channels from my relatives, colleagues. But I am quite astonished when I observe great change in the manner and behaviour in my three year old baby. The baby is so influenced, of course positively, by the media that it has brought a revolutionary change in his grooming.
It is really amazing for me when I see my tiny, little boy poses to be a “superman”. He always thinks himself a superman who does only the noble deeds and good jobs. Whenever he gets hurts he tries his to hide his pain.
Another outstanding incident I have experienced. My boy
is so impressed with the advertisement of Born Vita that he starts taking milk with it. In his early days, he couldn’t tolerate the smell of milk. But after watching this add, he became so influenced that he began to take milk mixed with Born Vita. He wants to make himself healthier, stronger. When he tells me, Mom, look at me, how strong I am! my bones are stronger, I feel heavenly pleasure on earth.
If we have severe headache, we can’t cut off our heads. Same is the world of media, we can’t avoid it. If we resist our children from watching TV, they will be away from the knowledge of the outer world. So parents like me should be thankful and grateful to the media for powerful positive influence upon the child like my sweet-naughty boy. I hope, parents should not be so much worried for their children’s addiction to TV. After all, every cloud has a silver lining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes television has some merits but its demerits are more becsuse of so many advertisements, inappropriate programmes for children.
